Before your session, I’ll send over a short, casual questionnaire so I can get a feel for your family—what you love doing together, your favorite places, and the little routines you want to remember.

From there, we’ll let the day unfold naturally. I’ll gently guide when needed, but there’s no script or list of poses. I’m there to notice the connection, movement, and little in-between moments that make this season yours.

Kids don't have to sit still or smile on command for every photograph. I’ll give them space to be themselves, while gently guiding when needed to create beautiful, natural images. For family sessions, that might mean a little more direction and playful prompts to bring out those genuine smiles and connection. For documentary sessions, I'll follow your family's natural rhythm while looking for the moments that are visually beautiful and meaningful.
Either way, you won't receive a gallery full of chaos. I'll be looking for the light, connection, emotion, and little moments that tell your story beautifully.

I'll consider the light, time of day, textures, architecture, and simple details that will help everything come together naturally. I’m always looking for the beautiful frame—the way morning light falls across the kitchen, your kids gathered around the island, bare feet on the floor, or a quiet moment in a favorite room.

Think effortless California style—beautiful textures, natural layers, relaxed silhouettes, and pieces that feel like you. I'll help you pull everything together through color, texture, and movement so your family feels cohesive without looking overly coordinated. You'll receive my Style Guide beforehand, and we'll talk through anything you're unsure about. For in-home sessions especially, I want you to feel comfortable enough to move, play, cuddle, and be yourselves—while still feeling beautiful and pulled together.

A 50% retainer and signed Portrait Contract are required to secure your session. Once we've chosen a date, we'll take care of the rest together.
